Every Monday morning, the Songbirds of Fort Worth gather at the historic Southside Preservation Hall for their weekly songwriter meet-up. This free event is open to all songwriters, regardless of experience level, and provides a welcoming and supportive environment for creative expression.

What to Expect:

  1. Warm Welcome • Attendees are greeted with a warm welcome and introductions, ensuring a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.
  2. Weekly Prompt Review • Each week, a new songwriting prompt is provided to inspire creativity. Participants are encouraged to write a song based on the prompt and share their work at the meet-up.
  3. Song Sharing and Feedback • Songwriters have the opportunity to perform their newly written songs for the group. Constructive feedback is given in a supportive and respectful manner, helping each songwriter improve and refine their work.
  4. Collaborative Spirit • The meet-ups foster a sense of community and collaboration, with many songwriters finding inspiration and support from their peers. Opportunities for co-writing and future collaborations often emerge from these sessions.
  5. Networking and Friendship • Beyond songwriting, these gatherings are a great place to meet fellow musicians, share experiences, and build lasting friendships. Members often stay connected and support each other outside of the weekly meet-ups.
